How to Calculate:

1000 W burned for 1 hour = 1 unit of electricity consumed = 1 Kilowatt hour(KWh). Thus, the rule is to multiply watt rating by the number of hours used and dividing by 1000 to get kilowatt hours(1 KWh=1 unit of electricity).
